NEW DELHI, Mar 28: Chana prices moved down by 0.46 per cent to Rs 3,276 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels driven by subdued demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in April declined by Rs 15, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 3,276 per quintal with an open interest of 60,930 lots.
Likewise, the commodity for delivery in May contract traded lower by Rs 15, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 3,333 per quintal in 49,720 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in chana prices at futures to profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels, due to subdued demand in the spot market. (AGENCIES)
