NEW DELHI, Jan 24: Chana prices declined by 0.53 per cent to Rs 3,021 per quintal in futures trading today as participants trimmed positions, triggered by increased supplies from producing region against weak demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in February fell by Rs 16, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 3,021 per quintal with an open interest of 81,310 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in April declined by Rs 12, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 3,190 per quintal in 70,380 lots.
Analysts said participants trimmed positions, triggered by increased supplies from producing regions against weak demand in the spot market mainly pulled down chana prices at futures trade. (AGENCIES)
