‘Miscreants threaten harmony in Jammu’

JAMMU, Feb 15: The Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), president Rakesh Gupta today said that some miscreants have tried to threaten the communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in Jammu region and declared that Chamber shall not extend the Jammu bandh call.
Talking to media-persons along with JCCI office bearers, heads of some affiliated associations and leaders from the Muslim community at Chamber House today, Rakesh Gupta said that the one day bandh call given by JCCI was purely to express solidarity with the martyred CRPF jawans and their families in this hour of grief. But it was unfortunate that some miscreant elements and disruptive forces resorted to law and order problem and threatened the communal harmony and peace in the region.
” We shall not allow any such force to disturb the brotherhood and peace in Jammu where all the regions have coexisted and stood by each other always. It was only one day bandh call and we shall not extend the same,” JCCI president claimed.
Shuja Zaffar, Chairman Jammu Muslim Front; Qazi Imran, president of the JMF: Mubasir Khan, president Shopkeepers Association, Talab Khatikan and Mohsin Salaria, general secretary Association Talab Khatikan, Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmad, Sujat Ali Khan, general secretary Anjuman Emamia stated that the Muslim community expresses their solidarity with the martyred jawans and their families and condemned the violent incidents that threatened the communal harmony.
