SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Vigilance Organization Kashmir today produced challan against Revenue official, who was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 20,000 from the complainant for effecting mutation of a piece of land.
Challan in of case FIR No: 24/2014 against accused public servant namely Nisar Ahmad Ahangar, the then Patwari Halqa Asnoor, D H Pora Kulgam, was produced in the Court of Additional Anti-corruption Judge Anantnag, presided by Rajiv Gupta, Additional Session Judge Anantnag.
The accused was caught red handed following a complaint by Gulzar Ahmad, whose father and two brothers had ancestral land measuring 17 Marlas situated at village Chowgalpora Damhal Hanjipora Kulgam.
After the successful trap, the investigation of the case was concluded as proved and the Government also accorded sanction for launching prosecution against the accused person. The challan of the case was produced in presence of the accused who was released on bail. The next date of the case has been fixed on December 21, 2015.
