JAMMU, Feb 6: The chain hunger strike by PHE employees under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association entered 3rd day today here.
The seven employees of PHE mechanical division, North Jammu, who sat on chain hunger strike today are Suresh Kumar, Kulbhushan Singh, Girdhari Lal, Romesh Singh, Chet Ram, Ram Labhaya and Rinku Kumar.
While speaking, Subash Verma, provisional general secretary of the association alleged that despite hard work by PHE employees, they are not being paid genuine wages as per the Government minimum wage.
He added that the dependants of PHE daily rated workers have reached on the verge of starvation die to anti-workers policies of the Government.
“We will fight till our demands get redressed”, he asserted.
Among others, who spoke were Rattan Doshi, Vijay Singh, Ram Labhaya, Parshotam Kumar, Surinder Kumar, etc.
