JAMMU, June 1: Office of the Chief Education Officer, Jammu has made it clear that timing of the scheduled Eco-Club Summer Camp from June 5 to 12, shall be early in the morning and the same should be organized only in High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools while attendance of the students will be on voluntarily basis.
According to an order in this regard, issued today by CEO Jammu, Jagdeep Padha, timing of the Summer Camp shall be from 8 am to 10 am and the students may attend the same on voluntarily basis.
Further, Heads of the Institutions have been directed to utilize the services of staff on rotational basis in such a way that no individual staff member has to attend the school for more than two days.
Meanwhile, taking serious cognizance of the reports that some schools are asking the students of Class 10th and 12th to attend extra classes from June 3, CEO Jammu has warned strict action against such schools.
“If required, the schools are allowed to conduct only online classes during the summer vacations,” he told the Excelsior.
