UDHAMPUR, Sept 13: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today said that the claim of the Central Government for abrogation of Article 370 is bogus as Mandal Commission Report has not been implemented till date in J&K.
“NEET examination is also not applicable in J&K and the bill which has been passed in just concluded Parliament session for giving powers to states to prepare their own OBC lists is also out of J&K, then how Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP claim for the abrogation of Article 370,” said state secretary of AIBCU Sham Lal Verma while addressing members during a meeting of the members. State president Abdul Majid Malik was the chief guest on the occasion.
Verma said that the PM is also an OBC member and has a real OBC certificate but his working against OBCs reflects something different. “PM has not agreed till date for OBC census, has blocked OBC reservation in J&K deliberately vide S. No: 07 of page 42 of the bill of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A dated 5th of August 2019,” he added.
Over the visit of 70 Union Ministers in J&K, the speakers termed such visits as public wastage of money as the Modi Government has failed to take any decision over the previously submitted memorandums during the visits of 30 Union Ministers in 2020 and to Delimitation Commission which visited from 6th July to 9th July, 2021.
They said that the Central Government on the name of democracy is befooling the public. “Government has neither implemented the Apex Court’s direction nor Presidential Order of 1st March 2019 for reservation in promotion,” they regretted and appealed the OBCs of J&K to continue their struggle at their own and be ready for a big change in the near future by using their votes for themselves and for their children by thinking over the third front.
