Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 12: Central Committee members of All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) on the instructions of its president Abdul Majid Malik toured the areas of Dansal, Badsoo and Pali and met the people belonging to OBC category.
They also held meetings at various places with the members of the Biradri. The focus of these meetings was the reservations in employment and politics. The members expressed resentment over the attitude of the Coalition Government  and alleged both Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and PCC chief Prof Saif -ud-Din Soz were working against the OBCs of the State and have deprived them of the natural flow of justice.
They said that the OBCs face harassment on the name of renewal of certificates and the caste is being verified after every five years. The people raised this issue when the creamy layer has been fixed so the renewal of OBC should only be on the basis of the income certificates.
The members said that four years have passed after the setting of OBC Advisory and Development Board and the Chief Minister who is the chairman of the Board and Kuldeep Raj Verma its vice chairman have totally failed to remove this minor hitch in the renewal of the OBC certificates.
The meeting urged the Social Welfare Minister Sakina Itoo to issue a general circular to all the concerned tehsildars to renew the OSC certificate on the basis of income certificates. The OBC people also showed their reluctance to support the coalition in next Assembly elections.
