CEC Kargil reviews preparedness ahead of CBSE, J&KBOSE exams

KARGIL, Feb 26: To ensure the smooth conduct of CBSE and J&KBOSE examinations, scheduled to begin tomorrow, Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon held a review meeting here today.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor for PHE, Executive Councilor for Social Welfare, Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Executive Engineer (Xen) Mechanical, Chief Education Officer Kargil, General Manager, NHIDCL, City Coordinator CBSE and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, the CEC directed the Xen Mechanical Department to ensure timely snow clearance on various routes and instructed NHIDCL to properly sand the roads to prevent slippery conditions.
He was informed that machinery has already been deployed at critical locations such as Barsoo Nallah and other areas.
Dr Akhoon also reviewed the snow clearance efforts in different blocks, including Zanskar, Shakar Chiktan, Drass and Sankoo.
He urged concerned officials to make proper arrangements to prevent students from facing any difficulties in reaching their exam centers.
The CEC suggested that exam authorities relocate examination centers at the earliest where necessary, particularly in avalanche-prone zones, to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Emphasizing the importance of fair examinations, the CEC reaffirmed that all examination centers are equipped with CCTV surveillance to prevent malpractice.
