JAMMU, May 7: The Department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis (CD &TB), Government Medical College, Jammu today organized a Continuing Medical Education Programme (CMEP) under the title `COPD Update and Newer Diagnostics in Pulmonology’.
Dr Deepak Talwar, Chairman Metro Centre for Respiratory Diseases, Noida and Dr Arjun Khanna, Consultant Pulmonology and Critical Care, were keynote speakers at the CMEP.
On the occasion, Principal and Dean GMC Jammu, Dr Zahid Gillani was the chief guest while former Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Rajinder Singh and Head of Medicines Department, GMC Jammu, Dr Anil Mahajan, were chairpersons, who conducted the CME.
A large number of doctors from all fields attended the programme actively.
Organizer of the CME Dr Rahul Gupta said that chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease and newer diagnostic in Pulmonology are upcoming topics in Pulmonology Medicines and to have discussions on these problems will help in improving patient care.
Dr Gupta said these CMEs also help in generating awareness in general public about the diseases.
