JAMMU, May 6: J&K Christian Dalit Society (CDS) has strongly condemned Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate for questioning secular credentials of Abdullah family and holding the National Conference and Dr Farooq Abdullah responsible for exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the Valley.
Addressing a press conference, S Peter, chairman of the society and former political advisor to former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah has said that in dubbing Abdullah family and NC as communal Narendra Modi is only seeing his own reflection in the crystal clear water of NC and Abdullah family.
Mr Peter lauding the role of Abdullah said that Shiekh Abdullah played leading role in the casting the lot of muslim majority Kashmir with secular India, rather than with Islamic State of Pakistan. He said that “Sheikh Sahib played prominent role in uplifting the lot of dalits belonging to all the religions”.
Christian Dalits Society also assailed Baba Ram Dev for his casteist remarks and defaming the dalits, while attacking Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi. His defamatory remarks against the dalits reflects his anti dalit mindset”.
The society demanded immediate arrest of Baba Ram Dev for his defamatory comments against the dalits and indulging in their character assassinations. They extended full support of Christian dalits to NC in J&K and Rahul Gandhi at the Centre.
