JAMMU, July 6: To attain new heights in terms of growth and public welfare measures, the Citizen’s Cooperative Bank (CCBL) today interacted with entire team of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) led by Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
“The CCBL has initiated a massive public outreach programme and today’s event was part of campaign. I think we have succeeded in our endeavour to spread a message about Bank’s initiatives for the welfare of the people of Jammu through their representatives at the ground level,” said Chairman of the CCBL, Parveen Sharma.
Earlier, the chief guest and Mayor of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta in his address stated that the CCBL has a history of providing excellent services to the poor and needy and has always come forward for the help of its customers. He appealed to the traders, industrialists, transporter and public in large to transact their banking business with this cooperative institution amidst assurance for all possible help for the progress of bank.
Deputy Mayor of Jammu, Purnima Sharma said, “I’m surprised, rather happy, to know that the Bank has all the modern facilities for its customers and numerous other public oriented schemes, especially ‘Daily Deposit Scheme’ aimed at the small traders and businessmen,” she maintained.
Chairman of the Bank, in his welcome address stated that the CCBL has come up as the first and largest Urban Cooperative Bank of Jammu and Kashmir with having large network of 40,650 shareholders. He appealed to the Governor administration to consider the proposal of contribution of share capital lying pending with State Government since long so that the bank can also expand its reach to the public with innovative banking products and robust technology.
Earlier, Managing Director  (MD) of CCBL, Ashok Goswamy apprised the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and also the Corporators of JMC about the activities saying, “ The bank is deep rooted into the public because of its local character and look forward  to come more closer public through the medium of democratically elected representatives of JMC.
Among the Directors present were Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Sumant Singh Jamwal, Bharat Bushan Gupta, Suresh Gupta, Sachin Gupta and Varinder  Singh Jamwal.
Later, Professional Director of the CCBL, Ravi Kant extended vote of thanks. He also thanked Wheelocity Skoda and Shaurya Resorts and Banquets, Miran Sahib RS Pura for the support.
The proceedings of this two-hour long progamme were conducted by Manager CCBL, Sunita Gupta.
