NEW DELHI: Three staff members of a school in Himachal Pradesh were arrested today by the Delhi Police in connection with leak of CBSE’s Class 12 economics paper, police said.
Centre superintendent Rakesh, Clerk Amit and peon Ashok of DAV School in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district were arrested by the Crime Branch, a senior Delhi Police officer said.
The three accused were brought to the national capital from Una and after questioning they were arrested, the officer said.
A hand written copy of the economics paper was leaked through Whatsapp, a day before the examination on March 26.
On March 30, the CBSE announced that it would re-conduct the class 12 economics exam throughout the country on April 25.
The Delhi Police has lodged two cases over the CBSE question paper leak.
The first case related to the leak of economics question paper was lodged on March 27, while the other pertaining to the leak of mathematics paper was lodged on March 28, following a complaint by the board’s regional director.
The examinations for the class 12 economics papers and class 10 mathematics were held on March 26 and March 28, respectively.
Earlier, with the arrest of three men, including two teachers of a private school in outer Delhi’s Bawana, police had claimed on April 1 to have busted a module in which the teachers had shared WhatsApp images of the economics paper one-and-a-half hours prior to the exam.
The accused were identified as Rishabh (29) and Rohit (26) both teachers at a private school in Bawana, and Tauqeer (26) a tutor at a private coaching centre there. (AGENCIES)
