CBK chargesheets Kupwara man in forgery case

SRINAGAR, July 15: The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir has submitted chargesheet against an accused individual in Kupwara in connection with a forgery case.
The chargesheet was filed in the court of Sub Judge Trehgam Kupwara against Qaisar-ud-Din Bajard. He is accused of committing offenses punishable under Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
According to a statement issued by the Economic Offences Wing, the case, with FIR No. 64 of 2022, was registered based on a complaint.
The complaint alleged that Qaisar-ud-Din Bajard had obtained a Government job as a junior lineman in the Electric Maintenance Division Kupwara using fake and forged certificates.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the accused had fraudulently secured employment as a Government employee by submitting counterfeit certificates of 8th grade.
As per the CBK, The investigation into the case has been concluded, and it has been deemed “proved” against the accused individual. As a result, the chargesheet has been filed before the court for judicial determination.
