JAMMU, May 25: Special Judge CBI cases Bala Joyti today framed corruption charges against Patwari Ashok Kumar, who was caught red-handed by the CBI while accepting bribe money from one Harvinder Pal Singh of R S Pura for issuance of Fard.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “the arguments put forth by defence counsel are not tenable in eyes of law as after weighting entire material on record”, adding “it appears that there are sufficient grounds for proceeding against accused person as prima facie , offence under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act prima facie is found against accused person”.
