JAMMU, July 24: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Crime Branch Jammu today recovered a minor girl, hailing from holy town of Katra in Reasi district, from New Delhi and arrested the accused.
During investigations of the case, the Crime Branch constituted SIT headed by DySP Mohammad Aslam and comprising Inspector Jatinder Singh Samyal and Head Constable Ranjeet Kumar and deputed them to New Delhi in connection with FIR of Katra police station, which had subsequently been handed over to the Crime Branch Jammu.
The Crime Branch recovered minor 17-year old girl from New Delhi and arrested the kidnapper Naimudin Ansari, 28, son of Sahabudin Ansari R/o Ganeshpura, West Champaran, Bihar.
The case was registered with Katra police station on July 24, 2018 for kidnapping of the girl but since no breakthrough was made, the case was transferred to the Crime Branch Jammu by the Police Headquarters.
The Crime Branch Headquarters constituted a SIT for investigation of the case on February 14 this year,
After strenuous efforts and meticulous planning, the team recovered the kidnapped girl from Dabri Dagarpur in New Delhi.
The kidnapper has been taken on police remand.
