Huge hoardings on the road junctions and bill boards on (NH1 Jammu Srinagar,Leh Highway) city walls and public places are a common feature of our towns and cities-big or small. These distract and divert the attention of the drivers driving various types of vehicles leading to accidents. The city municipalities and corporations allow the advertisers to erect and fix these hoardings to earn revenue for the development of the cities. However, several lives are lost in the process of earning revenue for the municipalities in this way. Moreover, the bill boards at public places and painting of city walls with advertisements mar the scenic beauty of the cities. Several advertisements especially those pertaining to the cinema and cosmetics are obscene and objectionable. There is need to deal with this matter at the earliest.
