Cashew rises on buying support

NEW DELHI, Aug 16:  Cashew prices rose by Rs 15 per kg in the national capital today on increased buying by retailers and stockists amid paucity of stocks.
Besides, fall in supplies from growing regions supported the uptrend.
Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 15 each to conclude at Rs 820-830, Rs 720-730 Rs 650-660 and Rs 545-550 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing belts pushed up cashew prices.

Almond (California) Rs 18,500 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 650-670 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg. (PTI)
