Cashew declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 1:  Cashew prices eased by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today largely absence of demand from bulk consumers due to end of festive season amdist increased arrivals from producing areas.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 790-810, Rs 690-710, Rs 630-650 and Rs 530-550 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said fall in demand from retailers and stockists due to end of festive season against increased arrivals, mainly led to a fall in dry fruit prices.
Following are today’s quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 19,000, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 7,600-8,000; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,400-4,600; Abjosh Afghani Rs 16,000-25,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 675-690 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-650 per kg. (PTI)
