Cartoons Making Workshop begins at Natrang

JAMMU, Jan 1: First ever Cartoon Making Workshop for children started here today at Natrang Studio Theatre with the lighting of traditional lamp by Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur.
The workshop is being conducted by Chander Shekhar and coordinated by Mohd Yaseen, National Scholarship holder from Ministry of Culture and Vrinda Sharma.
The focus of workshop is to attract the interest of children towards the art of cartooning.
Speaking about the art of cartooning, Balwant Thakur said that cartoons have always attracted child’s eye and has been an important part in enhancing a child’s imagination.
He also said that cartoons have been seen as ‘humour with a pinch of salt’ that not only is a creative medium to communicate but also a visual semiotics and visual persuasion medium.
The participants who attended the inaugural session included Divyansh Bharti, Divum Bharti, Kartik Rajput, Suhani Gupta, Haryansh Gupta, Medha Gupta, Ojas Kapur, Mannan Soni, Mannat Soni, Samaaira Dewan, Aditri Dewan, Sushant Singh Charak, Vidhi Kapur, Saumya Kapur, Himashi Punia and Soujayana Shekhar.
