Cardamom prices fall on muted demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 29:  Cardamom brown prices fell by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today owing to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists amidst adequate stocks.
Cardamom brown-Jhundiwali and Kanchicut prices declined by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 610-620 and Rs 670-1,030 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down cardamom prices.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 120-170, black pepper (per kg) 570-750, betel-nut (kg) 250-295, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 610-620 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 670-1,010.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 1,150-1,250, cardamom (colour robin) 930–950, cardamom bold 960-980, cardamom extra (bold) 1,110-1,130 and cloves 560-660. (PTI)
