Cardamom moves down 0.54% on profit-booking

NEW DELHI, June 1:  Cardamom futures traded lower by 0.54 per cent to Rs 830.30 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing higher levels driven by a decline in demand in the spot market.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June month declined by Rs 4.50, or 0.54 per cent to Rs 830.30 per kg in business turnover of 87 lots.
However, spice for delivery in July contracts in restricted movements, held steady at Rs 801 per kg in 16 lots.
Market analysts said besides profit booking by speculators at existing levels, fall in demand in the spot market mainly led to decline in cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
