NEW DELHI, Sept 25: Cardamom prices fell Rs 12.70 to Rs 860.70 per kg in futures trade today due to subdued demand against adequate stocks in the physical market following higher supplies from the producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November declined Rs 12.70, or 1.45 per cent, to Rs 860.70 per kg in a business turnover of 65 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in October traded lower by Rs 10.30, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 855 per kg with trading volume of 212 lots.
Market analysts said off-loading of positions by traders tracking subdued demand in spot markets, against adequate stocks on higher arrivals from producing belts, mainly led to a fall in cardamom futures prices. (PTI)
