Cardamom futures fall on profit booking

NEW DELHI, Mar 19: Cardamom futures fell marginally to Rs 859 per kg today as traders reduced holdings amid sluggish spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for May contract declined by Rs 4.30, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 859 per kg with a business turnover of 62 lots.
The spice for delivery in April month fell by Rs 4.10, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 829.70 per kg with a trading volume of 268 lots.
Marketmen said profit booking by speculators at existing levels and fall in demand at spot markets put pressure on cardamom prices in futures market. (AGENCIES)
