SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Capacity building tour organized for the children of Baramulla to Pune under the aegis of the Kilo Force was flagged in today at Haiderbeg, Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles by Deputy General Officer Commanding, Kilo Force, Brigadier Vinod Bhadu.
The tour was flagged off from Uplona on November 13 with 15 students, one teacher, one staffer from administration and five organizing staffers.
The students visited many places at Pune like NDA, St Mary’s Church, Makka Masjid, National War Memorial, Bishop’s School, Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai, Ganpati Mandir, Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Chankan Plant, Maharashtra, Institute of National Integration and Film & Television Institute of India.
During the flagging in ceremony at Uplona, the participants were received by senior officials of Army and civil administration. The participants shared their experiences about the rich cultural heritage of the country and the progress made in educational and industrial sectors.
