Campus placement drive held at YCET

JAMMU, Sep 24: A campus placement drive was held at Yogananda College of Engineering &Technology (YCET) Jammu as a part of its corporate social responsibility.
The world renowned e-commerce company Flipkart and world famous food delivery company Zomato participated in the drive and offered various job profiles including Technical Support Executive, Customer Care Executive and E- Commerce Customer Service Representatives to the final year B E students of YCET and final year MBA students of IMS.
Flipkart is an Indian e-commerce company headquartered in Bangalore and in Singapore as a private limited company while Zomato is an Indian multinational food delivery company founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah.
A total of 27 students from both the colleges were shortlisted in the event. At the end of grueling selection process, which included aptitude tests, group discussions, personal interviews and telephonic interviews, five students were finally recruited through the placement drive.
The programme was conducted by the Placement Cell of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. Many officials from the companies and YCET were involved to properly drive the placement process.
All the selected students will get the package in the range of 2.0 lakh to 3.0 lakh per annum depending upon their performance after training. One selected student in Flipkart is Saleh Manzoor of IT Department and four selected students in Zomato are Pooja Kumari, Ankit Gupta and Prakriti Pandoh of IMS and Goutam Gupta of YCET.
