JAMMU, Sept 24: Former State president, BJP and Ex-Minister, Sat Sharma (CA) and senior BJP leader and JMC Corporator from Ward 41, Sanjay Kumar Baru inaugurated drain and paver tiles work in Surya Vihar Lane No-22 along with TalabTillo BJP Mandal president, Keshav Chopra, district general secretary, Rajesh Gupta and Ward president, Ashok Wazir.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was indeed a long pending demand of the inhabitants which has been met today and he said that the mission behind this was to provide a conducive and clean atmosphere to the society. He said the works of many lanes and drains were taken up during his tenure as MLA and now majority of them were constructed which has helped a lot in achieving the mission of “ Jammu-West” as model constituency. He stated that efforts are still being made to provide every possible assistance to the masses at their doorsteps for which he appealed to the inhabitants to contribute in keeping their surroundings neat and clean.  He also stated that providing a neat and clean environment is the motive of Narendra Modi led Central Government and wherever required channelizing of deep drains will be done to provide best infra to the public.
Sanjay Kumar Baru said clean and well maintained lanes make basic building blocks for making Jammu Smart City. He said on the same lines, construction of drain and paver tiles at the estimated cost of 9.71 lakhs started today is one of the development works out of 55 lakhs which were allotted last week under the 14th Finance Commission’s in Ward-41.
He further said that estimate of the lane was prepared last year but due to COVID-19 second wave this work delayed by few months.
