BWWA organizes lecture on ‘Healthy Heart’

JAMMU, Sept 14: BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) of Jammu Frontier organized a lecture on ‘Healthy Heart’ to generate awareness amongst the BSF personnel and their families about heart diseases and tips to maintain healthy heart, at Trikuta Hall, in the premises of Jammu Frontier.
The lecture on ‘Healthy Heart’ was delivered by Dr Taruna Sharma CMO (OG), BSF Jammu. She gave detailed information on the topic and described how to deal with heart related diseases. She also told about the various causes of cardiovascular diseases and their prevention. Around 100 members of BWWA Jammu attended this informative lecture.
On this occasion, Sunita Boora, President, BWWA Jammu, said that heart disease has become very common these days due to bad eating habits and stressful life. Hence it is our responsibility to keep ourselves fit and follow instructions of experts and make our life healthy and diseases free, she added.
It is worth mentioning that under the guidance of President, BWWA Jammu, various welfare activities which include informative lectures, presentations and other programmes have been organized from time to time for benefit and welfare of BSF families.
