Bus conductor electrocuted; woman dies of fall from hillock

REASI, Aug 4: A bus conductor was electrocuted when he was standing on rooftop of the vehicle and came in contact with a live wire at Katra last night while in a separate case, a woman died after she fell from a hillock while cutting grass at Ransoo in Pouni.
According to police, one Maggan Singh (19), son of Chaman Singh of Bhambla, who was working a conductor with bus number JK20-3101, was standing on rooftop of the bus when he accidentally came in contact with an 11 KV line, late last night at Katra. He fell from bus and was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Police conducted post mortem of the body, this morning and handed it over to the family members. A case has also been also registered in this connection at Police Station Katra in this regard.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a 42-year old woman, namely Buddo Devi, wife of Babu Ram of Houch, Hari Chuma, tehsil Taryath , distt Rajouri, fell from a hillock at Panjali – Kasi Ikhni Nallah, while cutting grass.
The deceased was being accompanied by her son who shifted the woman to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead.
As the family members refused to get the post mortem conducted, and body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
