Burglars gang busted, kingpin among 8 arrested; stolen items recovered

RAMBAN, Feb 10: Police busted burglars gang with the arrest of kingpin and his 7 associates viz recovery of stolen items.
As per police sources, during the intervening night of January 12 and 13, some thieves had broken the locks of six shops in the jurisdiction of Police Post Ukhral and decamped with electronic items like laptop, mobile phones, accessories, cash, blankets, pressure cooker, etc.
In this context, a case under FIR Number 03/2020 under Section 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, Investigation Officer of the case SI Deepak Katoch conducted the investigation by using modern gadgets and on the basis of CDR and tower locations of stolen Jio mobile phone, arrested the kingpin of the burglary gang, who was identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Lakshaman Dass of Upper Mir Panchari and recovered the stolen Jio Mobile from his possession.
During the further course of investigation and on the disclosure of Rakesh Kumar, police team apprehended his seven associates who are identified as Nek Singh, son of Chain Singh of Mala Udhampur, Parkash Singh alias Sonu, son of Aharam Singh of Dhandotra Panchari, Udhampur, Pawan Singh, son of Mohan Singh of Tikri Udhampur, Raju Yadav, son of Nankey Yadav of Uttar Pradesh, at present Railway Station Udhampur, Mohammad Muneer, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Krimchi Debrah Udhampur, Gulshan Ahmed, son of Mohammad Munshi of Dharmadi Reasi and Parveen Chand, son of Subash Chander of Chenani Udhampur.
Police team also recovered stolen items including laptop, six mobile phones alongwith mobile accessories, blanket, pressure cooker, induction heater, solar light torch, Cello kettle, hot case and Rs 20,000 cash.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team made arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
