JAMMU, Dec 17: National Conference candidate from Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Surinder Singh Bunty while intensifying election campaign visited Chatha Mill, Chatha Farm and Upper Gadigarh areas of his constituency today.
Highlighting the roadmap in offing for the development of Gandhi Nagar Constituency, he said that creating infallible edifice for all round progress and growth will be his prime priority. He said that dearth of amenities and facilities in the constituency will be addressed with rigorous activity and focused approach. Interacting with Surinder Singh Bunty, residents raised local issues pertaining to electricity supply, potable water, roads and educational set-up. After listening to their woes, he promised reliable infrastructure to cater to the needs of people of the constituency.
Later, addressing a public meeting at Digiana, Bunty said, “After thorough deliberations and thought provoking sessions of one to one interaction with prominent citizens of Gandhi Nagar especially the youth, he has finally converged on certain points which have been included in the roadmap for constituency that will help in realizing the pursuits for creating all benevolent society keeping on top the agenda of education, employment and growth.
Focusing on the youth present in the election meeting he said that his concerted effort shall spotlight to create state of art edifice required for skill based education which can groom unemployed youth towards employability transforming them into State’s asset rather the liability. He said that stress would also be laid on developing and promoting sports activities by motivating young blood to loin their girds and paving way towards their success through exposure and expertise.
“Enhancing old age and widow pension for infusing confidence and dignity among this dejected lot and women empowerment by giving fillip to their education and healthcare besides special drive to counter crime against the fair sex community will also be the issues to be considered if voted to power”, said the NC candidate.
