Bunjwah residents protest over dilapidated condition of road

DODA, May 15: The residents of Bunjwah held protest over the dilapidated condition of the Dunadi-Bunjwah-KewaPull-Kither road.
A large number of residents from Bunjwah assembled at Thathri and blocked the Batote-Kishtwar highway.
They raised slogans against the Government and concerned MLA for not paying heed towards the dilapidated condition of the Dunadi-Bunjwah-KewaPull-Kither road, due to which they are facing manifold problems.
They demanded blacktopping of the said road, failing which they will launch massive protest and for any untoward incident, the Government will be responsible.
Later, the district administration heads intervened and pacified the protesters by assuring them to execute the maintenance and black-topping work of the road in the shortest possible time.
On the assurance, the protesters dispersed and vehicular movement on the Batote-Kishtwar highway was restored.
