NITI Aayog EO delivers lecture on PPP

JAMMU, May 15: Department of Applied Sciences,Yogananda College of Engineering & Technical, Jammu  today organized an Industry Interface Programme on Public Private Partnership (PPP) for the students of B.E. 2nd Semester. Tanu Kathuria, Economic Officer, NITI Aayog, New Delhi was the eminent resource person. The programme started with a welcome address by Er. Wani Gupta.
The session began with the basics of Economics and the resource person explained in detail the law of demand and supply by illustrating examples. The main focus of the session was on the origination of Public Private Partnership and how this has given a boost to our economy.
She deliberated at length on the importance of investments in infrastructure to help the economies to grow. Governments are increasingly turning to the private sector as an alternative of additional source of funding to meet the funding gap.  The complete programme kept the students engrossed. The students had a very healthy interaction with the resource person.
Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET presented a memento to the resource person and appreciated the Department for organizingsuch programme for the budding engineers. He stated that these programmesplay a very vital role in overall growth of the students.
