JAMMU, Dec 14: The Indian Institute of Architects, J&K Centre is organizing an exhibition of building materials, Build Mat Expo-13, at Hari Palace Banquets, Jammu from December 19 to 22.
All the leading construction material brands are participating in the exhibition, which would be jointly inaugurated by Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies and Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture on December 19 at 4 pm
This was informed by S L Suri, chairman of Indian Institute of Architects, J&K Centre, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“Since the exhibition would be on for four days, we’ve lined up a series of programmes where top level Government and semi-Government officials have been invited to grace the event and boost the morale of the exhibitors,” he added.
The valedictory function shall be held on December 22 with distribution of mementos to the participating companies. Nasir Aslam Wani, provincial president of National Conference has consented to be the chief guest for the function, said Harbinder Pal Singh, honorary secretary of the IIA.
“We want to inform the public that BME’13 is the largest exhibition of building materials in J&K. Under one roof, people would be able to see a wide range of products. Also it is a unique platform with an opportunity for manufacturers and dealers of various building materials, various professional and financial institutions and the general public to share a common platform where concerns of each of these can be shared and discussed,” he said.
Informing that entry to the event is totally free, Mr Singh appealed people to participate in the exhibition and avail this opportunity for a wide range of products under one roof.
Devinder Gupta, Vikas Dubey, Anil Anand and executive members of the IIA J&K Centre were also present in the press conference.
