JAMMU, Apr 18: Bahujan Samaj Party, president Darshan Rana today appealed to the voters to support BSP candidate from Jammu-Reasi seat in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
He claimed that BSP candidates are committed to raise the voice of people in the Parliament. The party will raise strong voice against caste based social and economical injustice and discrimination being meted out by the major political parties viz Congress and BJP.
He claimed that these parties while in power at the Centre during last 76 years of Independence have failed to deliver justice as laid down in the Constitution of India. Many important demands of the people specially of the reserved categories have remained unfulfilled.
The OBCs are demanding implementation of Mandal Commission report, granting 27 % reservation to the community but this demand has remained unaddressed. The SCs and STs are demanding reservation in promotions but that demand has also been rejected by the Government.
He claimed that if BSP comes to power, the issues of OBCs, SCs and STs will be resolved. He said BSP is the party of deprived class and the minorities who are struggling for justice. He said that Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram has waged log struggle for the upliftment of this class. Now Kumari Mayawati has taken this mission in hand. He appealed the people to support BSP candidate.
