BSP leaders visit Samba villages

JAMMU, July 26: Bahujan Samaj Party State president Tulsi Dass Langeh along with other senior leaders of the party conducted a one-day tour of Samba Assembly constituency and addressed a series of public meetings at village Daboh, Nud, Nankeychak, Badehri and Sujwal.
During interaction with the villagers of Daboh, the BSP leaders were complained of harassment by the authorities of Ordinance Ammunition Depot by not allowing them to raise construction of their houses. Despite the Defence Ministry’s order for shifting of the ammunition depot from the existing site, there was no progress in this regard whereas the local inhabitant are being forced not to raise construction of their houses, the villagers said.
The villagers also complained of frequent interruption of the power supply and erratic drinking water supply in the villages.
The BSP president, who was accompanied by Som Nath, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, B D Thapa and Kunj Lal, assured to take up grievances of the villagers with the concerned authorities for their redressal. Mr Langeh appealed the Governor to intervene for shifting of the Ammunition Depot from the existing site.
