JAMMU, Aug 19: A delegation of Bahujan Samaj party leaders today called on Jammu University Vice Chancellor Prof R D Sharma and discussed with him various issue and problems of SC/ST students.
The delegation, comprising BSP State president Tarsem Khullar, Som Nath Dogra, K L Atri and Raj Kumar Thappa expressed serious concern over the proposal for changing name of Jammu University Road. The BSP leaders said that they would not expect any other name accept Dr B R Ambedkar Road, who is a national hero and Father of Indian Constitution.
The Vice Chancellor assured that the name of the Road would not be changed while all the demands of SC/ST students shall be fulfilled soon.
