JAMMU, Dec 18: The J&K Circle Joint Forum of BSNL and MTNL unions conducted the two days agitational programme for December 17 and 18, 2012 as per the decision taken at CHQ’s level. All the constituents of the Joint Forum actively participated in the dharna and the same was conducted at all Telecom District Head Quarters besides the Circle Head Quarter Bahu Plaza Jammu. Every effort was, however, made to save the public from any inconvenience caused inadvertently.
Their demands include; immediate repatriation of unabsorbed ITS or take back all BSNL employees absorbed/recruited to Govt. Services at par with non-opted ITS to end discrimination, repayment of BWA spectrum fee, adequate compensation for BSNL rural Landline operations, immediate release of USO fund, exempt BSNL from payment of fee for 2G spectrum they are holding beyond 4.4 MHZ, procurement of equipment and materials, exempting BSNL from payment for spectrum liberalization, payment of provision by Govt. Irrespective of conditions laid down to this effect and immediate issuance of Presidential directive for 78.2% IDA fixation to BSNL Employees.
Besides the convener Com Mir Nisar Ahmad, Circle Secretary BSNL EU J&K, Com P.K. Bali CS SNEA(I), Com Amrik Singh CS AIGETOA J&K, Com S.K. Mahaldar, Com M.K. Koul, Com Amit Chaudhary, Com V.K. Pandita, Com Kuldeep Sadhu, Com Pushkar Sharma, Com Kunal Gupta, Com Gurmeet Singh, Com Jeet Raj, Com Randhir Singh , Com Narain Singh and others addressed the gathering and explained the present state of affairs in BSNL.
