SAMBA, Nov 18: Border Security Force (BSF) 98 Battalion organised a free medical camp at border village Dug Channi in Ramgarh tehsil, here today.
Dr Karnail Singh Commandant inaugurated the medical camp in presence of Deepak Kumawat Commandant 98 Battalion BSF, Ashok Kumar Singh 2IC (Adm) 98 Battalion BSF, MZ Khan DC (QM) 98 Battalion BSF, Coy Commander BOP Chamliyal, Mohan Singh Bhati Sarpanch village Jerda, Billu Choudhary Chairman Baba Chamliyal Mandir Committee and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Karnail Singh Commandant said that BSF is aware about the problems being faced by border residents. He added that medical camp has been organized on the directions of NS Jamwal IG Frontier Headquarters Jammu to address the health related problems of border area population.
Dr Nitin Pargatra from CHC Ramgarh, Dr Safina from 92 Battalion BSF, Dr Rakesh Chalotra BDS and Dr Gurbaj 19 Battalion BSF examined about 400 people belonging to various border villages. Medicines worth Rs 1 lakh were distributed among patients.
During medical camp, COVID-19 SOPs including social distancing and wearing of face mask were strictly followed.
