BSF officer shoots self to death

JAMMU, Sept 30: A Sub-Inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle in a camp, here today
“Sub-Inspector Chakerpani Prasad Tiwari (posted with BSF 12th Battalion) son of Hanuman Prasad Tiwari, resident of Madhya Pradesh, allegedly shot himself in the head at Garoda Border Outpost in Gajansoo area on the outskirts of Jammu, a police official of police post Gajansoo said.
He said the injured officer was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by doctors. “Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide but we have started inquest proceedings into the incident,” the official said.
