SRINAGAR, May 7: A Border Security Force (BSF) personnel allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in a camp at Humhama near Srinagar Airport last night.
Awdish Singh, 35, a driver constable of 182 battalion of BSF and resident of Uttar Pradesh, last night shot himself at BSF headquarters camp near Srinagar Airport at Humhama while he was on duty.
Following the gunshot, the colleagues rushed towards the trooper and found him in a pool of blood. The BSE man was immediately taken to nearby hospital where from he was referred to SMHS later. However, he succumbed to his injuries.
