Brother of car bomb Santro’s owner detained

Srinagar, May 29: The Santro car which was used for car bomb belonged to a Jaish-e-Mohammad militant, Hidayatullah Malik, from Shopian and police has detained his brother who is being questioned.
Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar told Excelsior that Hidayatullah is a resident of Sharatpora Shopian and had joined Hizbul Mujahideen in July last year and later JeM. He is the last owner of the Sentro car that was used by militants to target security forces but was intercepted and detonated.
The IGP said that police today detained Sameer Ahmad Malik brother of JeM militant Hidayatullah Malik, from Shopian and he is being questioned.
He said that IED expert Fauji Bhai alias Abdul Rehman alias Ismail of Pakistan, Over Ground Worker Muntazir Bhat and two JeM militants Zahid Sheikh and Samir Dar are involved in the making of car bomb. He said that the OGW Muntazir Bhat has already been arrested.
