Broadway actor JL Williams found after missing for four days

NEW YORK, Feb 15:  JL Williams, a cast member of the upcoming Broadway musical “Shuffle Along”, who had been missing since the morning of Feb. 10 has been found and is recovering in a hospital here.
Williams, 33, went missing on February 10 and his cast members took to social media to ask followers for any leads on his whereabouts, reported New York Daily News.
However, on Valentine’s Day, Williams’ cast members returned online to share the good news that he had been found and is safe at a New York hospital. The details of his status were not revealed.
Tony winner Audra McDonald tweeted, “So grateful our dear cast member JL has been found. This is a beautiful Valentines day indeed! Thank you for all of the RT’s (retweets) & good thoughts.”
Williams stars alongside McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Billy Porter and others in the revival of “Shuffle Along”, about the challenges the cast and creative team had mounting the original 1921 Broadway production of Shuffle Along during the Great Depression.
“Shuffle Along”, which is directed by Tony winner George C Wolfe with choreography by Savion Glover, opens on Broadway on March 15. (PTI)
