BPCL conducts workshop on handling new generation MPDs at petrol pumps

JAMMU, Feb 8: Bharat Petroleum, Bahu Plaza, today organized workshop on handling of new generation MPDs at petrol pumps.
The workshop was organized by BPCL for the entire staff of the Legal Metrology Department of Jammu Province covering the techniques and technology of the new generation machines at petrol pumps.
The event was chaired by Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali. The Minister was accompanied by the Secretary FCS&CA Shafiq Ahmad Raina and the Director FCS&CA, Jammu, GS Chib.
The programme was started by Minister with the inauguration of the Customer Relationship Center (CRC) for LPG consumers of BPCL in J&K. This CRC will be available to the consumers of Bharat Gas to address their issues, which is over and above the 24×7 toll free helpline available PAN India.
Sanjeev Kumar, State Head for J&K and Punjab along with SK Bhatt, Chief Manager from BPCL welcomed the guests by presenting bouquets and mementoes.
During the workshop, Minister administered pledge to all the participants of fuel conservation under the Union Ministry of Petroleum’s month long program namely Saksham 2017.
Rajesh Sharma, Territory Manager, Retail, BPCL introduced the participants to the multi-dimensional network of BPCL in J&K and its various initiatives in the State towards customer centricity. He requested the Minister to address the issues of the oil industry in the State and also help the company to work for the welfare of the consumers in J&K with its various customer friendly initiatives through their network.
The Minister while speaking on the occasion stressed upon the need of the officials of his department to get exposed to the new technology and work for the benefit of the customers.
He said that such programmes, which are unique in nature, will help in transforming the work culture of the State departments in line with the corporate functions.
The workshop concluded with the presentation of the vote of thanks by Surinder Dogra, Territory Manager, LPG, who assured the gathering to work in tandem in fulfilling the aspirations of the masses jointly with State Government.
