Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 37 cattle rescued, 6 arrested

JAMMU, Jan 27: Nagrota Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 37 cattle and arresting six persons.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted three vehicles.
During checking, police team rescued 37 bovine animals and arrested six persons, who were identified as Mohd Sadeeq, son of Abdul Rasheed of Sidhra, Mohd Shahid, son of Mohd Ashraf of Manzmoo Qazigund, Nazir Hussain, son of Sher Mohd of Haveli District Poonch, Rasheed Ali, son of Nazir Hussain of Simbal District Jammu, Obad Ul Rehman, son of Mohd Qasim of Belicharana District Jammu and Murad Ali, son of Munir Ahmed of Belicharana District Jammu.
Cases under FIR Numbers 28/2022, 29/2022 and 30/2022 under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
