Bovines smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, May 27: Jhajjar Kotli Police foiled bovines smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a Kashmir bound truck bearing registration number JK02AQ-2809.
During checking, police team rescued 10 bovine animals from the truck and arrested the driver, who was identified as Sukhdev Raj, son of Shankar Dass of Phinder, RS Pura District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 121/2022 under Sections 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act and 50/52/54/56 Transportation of Animals Rules 1978 has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
