Bovines smuggling bid foiled, 1 arrested

JAMMU, June 3: Jhajjar Kotli police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 18 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station laid a naka near Suketar and intercepted a truck.
During checking, police rescued 18 cattle from the vehicle and arrested the conductor, while the trucker managed to escape from the spot.
The arrested person has been identified as Rafaqat Ali, son of Ghulam Hussain of Kokernag, Kashmir.
A case under FIR Number 48/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ajay Singh Chib foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
