Bovine smuggling bid foiled

JAMMU, May 11 Ramban Police foiled a bid of bovine smuggling by arresting two smugglers and rescued 25 animals during naka checking at Dhamkund.
Reports said that on specific information, Police laid a naka near Majeed Sharif Dhamkund. During checking, the naka party intercepted two persons Mukhtiyar Ahmed of Jaman Gool and Imtiyaz Ahmed of Kharpura Gool, who were taking 25 bovines towards Kashmir valley.
Police arrested the smugglers and rescued bovine animals. A case FIR under Section 188 RPC, 3 PC Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Dhamkund.
In another success, Ramban Police arrested a black marketer and recovered 90 liters of Diesel from his possession at Kantha Morh Sangaldan.
Identity of the accused has been established as Abdul Majeed of Dalwah, who was black marketing the Diesel. A case has been registered against him at Gool Police Station.
