REASI, Oct 9: Police today arrested bootlegger and seized 46 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Police party spotted a person who was carrying a bag and had been standing near Tehsil Office Reasi, waiting for some vehicle. On seeing the Police party, the said person started running in backward direction. Detecting this suspicious act, the police party chased and nabbed him.
During search, 46 poly pouches of JK Excise Whisky, 250 ML each, were recovered from his possession. The accused revealed his name as Baldev Singh, son of Krishan Singh of Dadhoti, tehsil Panchari, district Udhampur.
