DODA, July 24: Police arrested a bootlegger along with 38 pouches of illicit liquor.
A police spokesman said that, a party of Police Post Pul Doda on routine naka duty intercepted a person namely Gori Singh, son of Fateh Singh of Kastigarh.
During checking, police recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the person.
A case under FIR number 136/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Thathri police during checking of mini-bus bearing registration number JK06-3347 recovered 30 litres of kerosene oil.
A case under FIR number 64/14 under Section 3/7 EC Act has been registered at Police Station Thathri and investigation started.
